But if and when you crash, the D3O LP1 insert provides outstanding impact absorption. Flexible when pedalling, it hardens upon impact as crash forces are dissipated to prevent knee injuries.

To the upper, lower and sides you also get thermo-moulded EVA inserts, providing comprehensive protection all-around your knee. And if that wasn't enough, optional hardshell caps can be added (not supplied) providing more impact and slide protection too.
